Gina Marie (Farish) Maupin

Gina Marie Maupin passed away on April 23, 2024. She was born on January 5, 1962, to the late Eugene and Rose Farish. Gina was also preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Guy Maupin, and one brother William Farish.

Gina is survived by one daughter, Michele Maupin Lester (John) and two stepsons, Guy "Mitchell" Maupin, Jr. (Kimberly) and James Maupin (Jessica). Two sisters, Lisa Farish and Darlene Dunnivan. Seven grandchildren Abigail, Junior, Ellexis, Cami, Zoe, Zander, and Morgan. One great-granddaughter. Also, one niece, Brandi Washburn (Jason), whom she cared very much about.

Gina loved cats. Especially her two four-legged babies, Yoda and Patch. The last few years she spent on earth, they were her world.

Gina was a loving person that always had others' needs in mind. She was a retired nurse of 40 years where she spent most of those years at UVA. Gina spent most of her adult life taking care of others so in her last few years, she spent her time taking care of herself and finding her best friend in her sister, Lisa. 

A memorial service will be held at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottsville on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:00am with Pastor Warren Tilman officiating. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later time.
